This role drives excellence in construction preplanning and execution, fosters a culture of safety and inclusion, and optimizes business practices to support organizational growth. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in project planning, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.This position can be based out of one of our BC offices: Kelowna, Burnaby, or VictoriaYour responsibilitiesLead a culture of safety, collaboration, and respect, while fostering an inclusive and high-performance environmentOversee construction preplanning activities, including BIM, VDC, and Revizto workflows, ensuring standardization of processes, tools, and consistency and efficiency in deliverablesCollaborate closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with organizational strategyContinuously evaluate and optimize internal business practices to improve productivity and qualityLead strategic initiatives that enhance preplanning and executionManage departmental and project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and accurate forecastingBuild strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and industry representativeDrive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to optimize business practices and expand market presenceYour experience and skillsMinimum 10 years of previous experience in construction, or a related industryP.Eng., PMP Certification, Gold Seal in Project Management, Project Management Certificate, or equivalent education is idealDemonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiativesSophisticated knowledge of construction preplanningStrong understanding of BIM, VDC, and project planning technologiesStrong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controlExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsDeep understanding of construction industry trends, technologies, and best practicesAbout HouleAs BC’s leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
