General Manager – Left Field Brewery – Liberty Village Title: General Manager (full time) Location: Toronto, Ontario – on site at the Liberty Village location. Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year (plus bonus potential). About the Company Left Field Brewery is a small, community‑minded business with a mission to create joy through beer. We also love baseball, a theme that is interwoven through all facets of our brand. The Liberty Village location is a 300‑seat, two‑storey brewery, tap room and kitchen emphasizing high‑quality craft beer, food and brand experiences. It is a space to connect over a beer and to catch the game while cheering on the home team. Summary The General Manager is the senior operations person within Left Field Brewery – Liberty Village, reporting directly to ownership and is the senior leader to whom all other Liberty Village location management report. The GM provides guidance and leadership to all other management staff to encourage personal growth and development and to successfully execute the business, including fiscal responsibility and business development. They will drive the business forward while overseeing a wide range of daily activities, from day‑to‑day operations to forecasting and budgeting. This individual has an active presence on the floor supporting and leading the Liberty Village team, ensuring the consistent delivery of high‑quality beer and food while leading the vision for exceptional guest experiences. The General Manager is ultimately responsible for leading the business toward financial success while upholding Left Field Brewery’s brand and core values. Responsibilities Lead the team with enthusiasm, energy and a genuine positive demeanor. Ensure every guest receives the desired brand experience and leaves eager to return and recommend the brewery. Develop service standards and training focused on guest experience and accountability. Coach, develop and train people for progression within the organization. Work with management to maintain a safe, inclusive and collaborative working environment for all team members. Prepare fiscal reports, budgets, sales forecasts, labour and inventory cost management. Engage in strategic planning, business‑plan development, action planning and participate in annual and monthly brewing, marketing and promotional planning, including inventory management for all food, beverage and operational supplies. Collaborate with other Left Field Brewery management teams (Brewing, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Retail and Events) to support overall business needs. Qualifications / Competencies Passion for craft beer and a strong knowledge of guest and brand experience. Demonstrated leadership and people‑management skills. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and profitability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans.
