Job Details Position Title: Client Services Technician – FIFA Support Specialist Status: Project of a Non‑Recurring Kind (PNRK) – 7 Months Hours: 24 hours per week Faculty/Department: Information Technology Services Campus/Location: Lakeshore Campus – 3199 Lakeshore Blvd. West, Etobicoke M8V 1K8, Canada Salary: Payband H (Start $37.34 – Max $43.18 per hour) Deadline to Apply: January 2nd, 2025 About the Role The Client Services Technician plays a vital role in maintaining and improving IT infrastructure, assisting users with troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across Humber’s learning environments. Responsibilities Resolve technical issues, troubleshoot network connectivity and equipment faults, and escalate to Support Partners as necessary. Set up, deploy, and configure end‑point devices (mobile and desktop) and audiovisual technology for service requests or special events. Respond to technical enquiries, advise on proper use of technology, demonstrate standard software tools, and coach clients; communicate procedures and policies. Actively maintain and repair equipment, including swapping customer‑replaceable units and consumables, ensuring availability for students, faculty, and staff. Respond to high‑impact requests such as technology failures impacting student learning, registration, or executive meetings. Support planning of future technical solutions through testing, experimentation, and research of existing, new, and changing technology. Qualifications Education Three‑Year Diploma / Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology. CompTIA Network Certification or equivalent. CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent. Training in Windows/Mac OS operating systems. AVIXA CTS Certified Technical Specialist or equivalent. Experience & Skills Minimum of three years’ experience in a fast‑paced technical support environment, preferably within an academic setting.
