We’re hiring a Head of Operations (insert a crowd cheering) Total Life is a pre-Series A company on a mission to transform mental health care for older adults — one of the most underserved populations in healthcare. Millions of seniors struggle with depression, anxiety, loneliness, and loss. Most never get care. We exist to change that — and the impact is real, measurable, and deeply human. This role is for someone who wants to help run a startup — not just work at one. Base pay range CA$90,000.00/yr - CA$125,000.00/yr The role As Head of Operations, you’ll be the internal engine of Total Life. You’ll work directly with the CEO and own how the company runs day-to-day — turning strategy into execution, growth into systems, and chaos into clarity. This is not a corporate role. This is a builder role. You’ll thrive here if you love: Early-stage chaos and fast growth Ownership and accountability Building systems from scratch Making decisions with imperfect information Using AI and technology to move faster and smarter What you’ll own Company-wide operations and execution Finance oversight: budgeting, cash flow, burn, runway visibility Partnering with payroll, accounting, and vendors Hiring operations, onboarding, and HR infrastructure Operational systems that scale without bureaucracy Leveraging AI and modern tools to increase speed and leverage Who we’re looking for You’re likely a great fit if you: Want to escape the corporate world and build something meaningful Are obsessively organized, detail-oriented, and execution-driven Thrive in ambiguity and fast-changing environments Have strong judgment and don’t need hand-holding Are deeply comfortable with technology and AI tools Believe mission and performance go hand in hand Experience that helps (but isn’t required) Experience at a high-growth or early-stage startup Operations, chief of staff, finance ops, or general management background Oversight of finance and HR operations Experience working directly with founders Coding or strong technical fluency is a plus What this role is not Not a narrow functional role Not a slow or hierarchical environment Not for people who need certainty before acting Pre-Series A with strong momentum Meaningful equity and real ownership Direct partnership with the CEO Clear path to VP Operations / COO Daily work that has a massive positive impact on older adults’ lives Why You’ll Love It Here You’ll be the owner of one of the most important functions in a rapidly growing company.
