Environmental Planner


Integrated Geomatics Inc. (IGI) has an immediate opening for an Environmental Planner based out of our Calgary office, with remote work options available. Our multidisciplinary team at IGI supports client development activities by pairing survey and environmental services, including planning, permitting, environmental assessments and monitoring, and GIS mapping and design.

In this position, the successful applicant will plan new development activities, analyze data and prepare technical reports, complete regulatory applications, and support the completion of field activities.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Regulatory planning and constraints analysis

•       Technical report writing and peer review

•       Complete regulatory applications, submit via provincial web-based application systems (e.g., OneStop)

•       Conduct/coordinate environmental assessments and environmental monitoring programs

•       Develop environmental management and construction plans

•       Interface with clients and regulatory agencies

•       Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of technical experts


Qualifications:


•      Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, environmental sciences, biology, or related field

•      Previous experience planning new energy development activities, and preparing environmental and regulatory applications

•      Demonstrated proficiency writing technical reports

•      Excellent research and analytical skills

•      Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail

•      Ability to travel and work in remote locations

•      Professional designation and/or eligibility is an asset


Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
