Job Overview We are looking for a Manager, Media Strategy to partner with our Internal Brand Marketing teams and guide media initiatives across digital and traditional channels. The role drives strategy, implementation, and performance, and serves as the main point of contact for campaign strategy and execution. Responsibilities Strategic Annual & Campaign Planning: Lead annual and campaign media planning for Loblaw Media’s brand partners. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with account, data science, audience, and execution teams to translate brand objectives into integrated media strategies. Campaign Management: Oversee day‑to‑day campaign strategy, implementation, optimization, and reporting. Strategic Recommendations: Deliver timely tactical and strategic recommendations based on data and insights. Team Development: Mentor and develop Media Specialist team members. Financial & Operational Management: Manage forecasting, budget tracking, contracting, and billing issue resolution. Market & Industry Awareness: Stay updated on marketplace trends, competitors, and emerging technologies. Core Competencies Media expertise across digital and traditional platforms. Strategic planning for short‑and long‑term media plans. Analytical rigor with data‑driven decision making. Budget and resource management. Creative problem‑solving. Adaptability and versatility across strategy, planning, and execution. Organization and prioritization in fast‑paced environments. Communication and presentation skills. Collaboration and leadership. Performance‑driven mindset. What You’ll Bring 5+ years experience in account management, media strategy, or in‑platform management (CPG/retail experience an asset). Client‑service experience leading end‑to‑end account support. Hands‑on experience with 360 media channels such as Meta Business Manager, DV360, Google Ads. People leadership, guiding media specialists. Strong understanding of marketing and media products and the broader marketing ecosystem.
