Manager, Media Strategy (12‑Month Contract) We are seeking a Manager, Media Strategy to join Loblaw Agency’s Media team. The role focuses on partnering with Internal Brand Marketing partners to identify opportunities, recommend digital media solutions, and drive business outcomes. Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Contract: 12‑month, full‑time. Overview Loblaw Media™ leverages data and insights from online activity and retail stores to deliver relevant messages to Canadian customers. As a trusted strategic advisor for our internal brands, you will translate brand objectives into integrated media strategies and lead the planning, implementation, optimization, and reporting of campaigns. Responsibilities Lead annual and campaign planning for Loblaw Media’s brand partners, ensuring alignment with overall marketing and advertising objectives. Partner with account, data science, audience, and execution teams to translate brand objectives into integrated media strategies and programs. Oversee day‑to‑day campaign strategy across planning, implementation, optimization, and reporting; act as liaison between clients and internal teams (Ad Ops, Creative, Production). Deliver timely strategic and tactical recommendations informed by Loblaw’s data and audience insights. Support the growth and training of Media Specialist team members through mentorship and collaborative development. Partner with Finance and Ad Operations to manage forecasting, budget tracking, contracting, and resolution of billing issues. Develop knowledge of the marketplace, competitors, and emerging technologies to inform media planning and execution. Core Competencies Media expertise across digital and traditional platforms, aligning tactics with brand standards, KPIs, and business objectives. Strategic planning skills for both short‑ embodiment and long‑term media plans that drive measurable business outcomes. Analytical rigor: ability to conduct fact‑based analysis, interpret complex data, and apply reasoned judgment in media decisions. Budget and resource management experience with a strong track record of fiscal responsibility. Creative problem‑solving and adaptability in fast‑paced environments. Excellent communication, presentation, and influence skills across cross‑functional teams. Team‑oriented leadership fostering positive partnerships.
