Role Summary:

The Foundation Program Coordinator will support the Communications Manager with a variety of initiatives including research, communications, student Awards and event support. The role will support the Foundation programs including communications, event support and more.

What you will be doing:

  • Working together with the Communications Manager, the Foundation Program Coordinator will support the Awards program as well as communications initiatives. This includes supporting, organizing and planning Foundation program activities. In this role you will oversee data collection and evaluation to ensure the programs have the intended outcomes.
  • Administrative support: The Foundation Program Coordinator role will support ongoing administrative tasks, including emails/calls with Award recipients, preparing supporting documents and reports, and attending meetings.
  • Event Management support: Working with the Communications Manager, the Foundation Program Coordinator will support event materials and collateral including Awards, event materials and on-site event support.
  • Communications support: Assist with writing and editing, logistic coordination, communication with external vendors and/or agencies, etc.

What you bring:

  • 1-2 years of experience in administrative, communications and/or event management
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized
  • Great at secondary research
  • Comfortable working with minimal direction and oversight; good judgement/common sense and can make decisions on your own
  • Highly self-motivated and achievement-oriented with ability to work individually and in collaborative teams
  • Interested in education and access to education issues
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook and Google Drive
  • Ability to learn new software, such as Mailchimp and SurveyMonkey
  • Excellent communication skills
