Opportunity: Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project, focusing on design, procurement, and site preparation for the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor. The role reports to the Technical Director and involves planning, design, and execution of temporary work structures. Responsibilities include: Collaborating with field teams to design temporary structures Creating detailed technical drawings and schematics Fabrication drawings, material take-offs, and quality checks Designing structural steel for platforms, scaffolding, and other temporary structures Providing progress reports and interfacing with clients and engineers Ensuring compliance with QA and quality standards Performing other duties as assigned Requirements: Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation Minimum 10 years of experience in structural design, especially temporary structures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organizational skills and ability to prioritize We encourage Indigenous applicants and promote diversity, inclusion, and accessibility within our organization.
