Perform implementation migration activities for Database records and structures such as IDMS Elements/ Records/ Processes/Dialogs/Maps/Subschemas to different databases. Perform DMPS and IDMS File maintenance Monitor the IDMS instances by checking the databases logs and IDMS file spaces. Report any issues and work on resolutions. Monitor and tune the DBMS. Analyze database growth, running/supporting weekly scheduled batch reports on DBMS database areas and monitor database growth from the previous week to help trend and predict growth. Engage in performance and capacity management of the DBMS. Use PMDC to perform IDMS system/DB performance and tuning. With assistance from IDMS system installers review batch and OPER statistics such as but not limited to Active Tasks, Active Users, DB I/O, Run Units, and LTERM Storage to ensure system resources are healthy.
