Mainframe Application Specialist

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Application Specialist to join our CRM cross-functional agile team within the Digital Operation Technology space.  As a Mainframe Application Specialist, you will serve as a key contributor in delivering business requirements and maintenance solution across our CRM applications portfolio. By leveraging your in-depth knowledge and expertise in business systems analysis, you will drive the planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, estimation for new CRM business initiatives, ensuring alignment with organization objectives and business priorities.  Additionally, you will assume a critical role as a Mainframe Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing expert guidance and support for CRM system maintenance and decommissioning activities to drive strategic value and operational excellence.WHAT WILL YOU DO? Collaborate with product owners to understand business needs and translate them into system requirementsAnalyze and document detailed business and system solution requirements using Agile methodologySupport design, development, and testing activities by providing requirements clarifications and root-cause analysisAct as the Mainframe SME, delivering specialized technical guidance and solutions to support system maintenance and legacy migration initiativesLeverage organizational AI capabilities to increase productivity and contribute to process improvement activitiesWhat you need to succeed Must have:Minimum of 5 years of experience with Mainframe utilities and platforms, including JCL, COBOL, DFSORT, BTEQ, MLOAD, and TSO/ISPFProven experience in requirements management and communication, including requirements walkthroughs, scope and change management, traceability, configuration management, backlog management, and prioritizationExperience with Agile project delivery and strong working expertise in JIRA, Confluence, and flow charting/wire frame toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with developers, architects, Quality Engineers, and business partnersStrong knowledge of data mapping, databases (DB2 and Teradata), and data formats (XML, JSON)Understanding of REST API and SwaggerDeadline-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to meet high-quality standards while handling multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneouslyNice to have:Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businessesCertified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Advanced education in Business Analysis.Agile experience/ certificationExperience with OpenShift, Python and JavaExperience with IDz tool, ZEKE scheduling, CICS, Github and Github ActionsFamiliarity with IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz) and Mainframe build/compile and deploy processesRecent experience within the financial industryWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
