RT Medical Job Description

RT Medical is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our virtual clinic. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide clinical professional practice both independently and as a part of a collaborative team. You will be responsible for providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. You will participate in planning, coordination and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals and other partners.

As an Occupational Therapist with our team, you will:

Provide virtual telehealth OT services. Assess physical, psychological, perceptual, cognitive, vocational, and functional status through administration of formal and informal assessments and establish and implement a treatment and intervention plan aimed at improving or restoring functional independence.
Formulate and implement individualized client centered goals based on the analysis and assessment findings consistent with team goals.
Provide suggestions for adaptive equipment as required for patients who require support.
Provide recommendations to facilitate safety and maximize function within the patient's environment.
Help patients who are having trouble with functional independence, in the areas of selfcare, productivity and leisure to maximize patient quality of life.

What you bring:

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized University or equivalent.
Registration and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
Membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists is an asset.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience.

You will also have:

Skills in technology and experience with various EMR's and Microsoft Teams.
Discipline working remotely and in a virtual telehealth environment.
Ability to work in unique, fast-paced environments.
Good knowledge OT theory and practice.
Excellent interpersonal and listening communication, and teamwork skills.
Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, organizational and decision-making skills.
High adaptability capacity.
Registration in other provinces is an asset.
