Base pay range CA$120,000.00/hr - CA$130,000.00/hr Our client in Ottawa, a crown corporation in the public sector has a 3 year hybrid remote contract opportunity for a Middleware Specialist. Description: Participate in root-cause analysis; develop and implement permanent solutions to problems; and establish mechanisms to monitor, track and report on service levels using metrics, restore services as soon as possible. Contribute to all middleware initiatives required for platform maintenance and evolution. Implement configuration management for middleware infrastructure. Identify causes and implement solutions to more complex/uncommon business problems in a multifunctional setting, assessing, and communicating issues of technology impact on the functional/corporate level. Participate in the installation and configuration of middleware technologies. Deliver results under limited supervision and follow a general work plan, check progress, report deviations, identify issues and seek guidance as appropriate. Provide operational support for the Middle tier environment. Required Qualifications & Skills A minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience with some of the following qualifications and skills: Demonstrated Middleware experience. Demonstrated ability to organize effectively. Demonstrated experience of OpenShift version 4.x. Demonstrated experience of Azure ARO, AKS. Demonstrated experience with IBM DataPower, IBM DataStage, and/or JBOSS. Demonstrated experience with IBM WebSphere Portal. Demonstrated experience in Linux/Unix administration. Additional Qualifications The following will also be considered: Demonstrated experience with Oracle WebLogic Application Server (version 12.2 or higher in standard and clustered mode). Demonstrated experience in installation and configuration of Oracle Fusion middleware, Oracle Internet Directory and SOA Suite. Demonstrated experience with IBM MQ. Demonstrated experience working with J2EE application server such as IBM WebSphere or Redhat JBoss EAP.
