The Opiate Treatment and Recovery Program, Family Physician

The Opiate Recovery Program in Truro and New Glasgow is looking for Physician support. You would be working with a team of experienced physicians, nurses and social workers providing support to clients participating in the Opiate Recovery Program. Mentoring, orientation and support will be provided within the team.
Expected Hours- 3- hour clinics up to 3 times per week.
- Time is paid through sessional hours.
- Clients are booked at 15 mins intervals, so within a 3 hour clinic up to 12 clients may be booked. For physicians new to this work clients can be booked at 30 mins intervals to allow for orientation and support.
- Flexibility in clinic days/times is available– weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, intermittent clinics as long as scheduled at least a month in advance.

Truro is home to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre CEHHC), the regional hospital which serves a population of approximately 75,000 and is a thriving business community.
