Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, results‑driven SaaS Director of Business Development to lead our expansion efforts within the insurance sector. You will drive revenue growth by identifying and securing strategic partnerships, building relationships with key stakeholders, and promoting our SaaS solutions. The ideal candidate has deep industry knowledge, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of partnership and revenue success. Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth within the insurance industry. Identify and target potential strategic partners, including carriers, brokers, and other industry players. Build and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers in target organisations. Collaborate with internal teams—sales, marketing, product, and executive leadership—to create customised value propositions and partnership strategies. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities. Lead negotiation and execution of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with company goals, financial objectives, and legal requirements. Monitor industry dynamics, regulatory changes, and customer needs to proactively identify new market opportunities. Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, fostering a collaborative culture. Track, analyse, and report on key performance indicators and metrics, presenting findings to executive leadership. Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in the insurance industry and SaaS solutions. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus). Proven track record of success in business development, partnership management, or sales roles within the insurance industry; SaaS experience highly desirable. In‑depth knowledge of insurance products, distribution channels, regulatory environment, and industry dynamics. Strong network of contacts and relationships within the insurance industry. Ability to drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and initiatives. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills; ability to influence C‑level executives. Analytical mindset with proficiency in market research and data analysis. Strong leadership skills with experience managing high‑performing teams. Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. Willingness to travel as needed to meet partners and attend industry events. Nice‑to‑Have Experience with SaaS insurance solutions such as policy administration, claims management, or underwriting platforms. Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or blockchain applications in insurance. Understanding of insurtech trends, including usage‑based insurance and digital distribution models. Existing relationships within the insurtech ecosystem. Experience working in a startup or high‑growth environment.
