Job Description The Clinical Services Manager for Oncology Ambulatory Clinics oversees the oncology programs at Brampton Civic and Etobicoke General Sites. The Ambulatory Oncology service includes a 32‑chair chemotherapy and immunotherapy suite, survivorship program, urgent medical clinic, and multi‑site outpatient primary‑care clinics in Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology. Responsibilities encompass daily operations, department communications, human‑resource management, workflow optimisation, staff orientation and development, and policy implementation. The role is pivotal in leading systematic change to enhance quality of care and customer service. Accountabilities In collaboration with the director, physician partners, and team members, develop and implement the clinical service, functional, and strategic plan for the programs. Define the organisational supports and structures required for the programs. Enhance community linkages. Establish a professional practice climate and facilitate a multidisciplinary patient‑care approach. Coach, mentor, and develop team members, motivating individuals to optimise performance and patient scope of practice. Ensure patient care complies with professional standards. Respond promptly to quality, safety, risk, and other performance indicators, including CCO metrics. Manage the oncology patient/family advisory committee. Influence and motivate staff through transformational leadership, encouraging effective relationships with inter‑professional teams, regional program partners, and stakeholders (including Cancer Care Ontario). Collaborate with physicians and other providers across the system to address program priorities, such as Headwaters Health Care Centre and other regional hospitals. Hire, orient, and manage staff performance per HR policies, union contracts, legislation, and practice standards. Develop, monitor, control, and evaluate the budget in partnership with administrative directors, physicians, and staff. Develop processes for selecting, evaluating, and maintaining material and equipment to enhance patient care. Maintain effective interdepartmental relationships and participate in activities that support the unit, clinic, and corporate functions. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications Health discipline professional designation. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Minimum of five (5) years recent management/supervisory experience (preferred). Minimum of five (5) years recent clinical experience in oncology (preferred). Demonstrated ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external partners. Proven leadership, planning, and project‑management skills. Excellent problem‑solving and change‑management skills. Excellent communication skills – oral, interpersonal, and written. Strong team‑player with a consultative, collaborative, coaching, and mentoring style. Evidence of collaboration across disciplines, divisions, departments, and programs. Ability to travel between hospital sites. Additional Information Hours: Currently days (subject to change). Salary: Minimum $118,716.00 per annum; Maximum $148,395.00 per annum.
