Coordinator, Environmental Services (Student) Location: QC, Courcelette – Valcartier Salary Range: $43,360 – $56,367 Employment status: Casual – 4 months Security Level: Reliability Closing Date: 28/02/2026 Country: Canada Are you an environmental student interested in construction management, environmental services, project and program management, real property management, data sciences or real property management? Are you excited by the prospect of supporting projects for clients in the Canadian Armed Forces and Department of National Defence? We are looking for students who have strong critical thinking, writing, and interpersonal skills to join our team in Valcartier. Minimum 5 years of permanent residence in Canada to satisfy security clearance requirements. Studies in biology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field. DCC is a dynamic Crown corporation serving the Canadian Armed Forces and the Department of National Defence. Our team values dedication, collaboration, competence, and fairness. This 2–4 month student position offers hands‑on experience and skill development. What You Can Expect Expand your skills and build a network in a high‑performing environment. You will gain office and field experience in environmental and/or project management work, and may support the following tasks: Coordinate and monitor environmental work across projects to ensure legal compliance. Provide technical support on environmental matters for contract planning and management. Prepare environmental reports meeting client partner requirements. Update and verify environmental data in tables and tracking systems. Coordinate the exchange of environmental information for projects and programs. Conduct research, compile data, and contribute to drafting technical documents. Support the team in meeting quality standards and deadlines. Demonstrate good judgment, a positive attitude, and flexibility. Apply computer software (Office Suite) proficiently. Use strong critical thinking, writing, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail. Work independently. Who We Are Looking For Meet the minimum age requirement to work in Quebec. Currently enrolled in a college or university program in biology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field at a recognized institution. A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is preferred. Eligible to work in Canada. Hourly pay scale for post‑secondary students: $19.50–$27.50/hr. Compensation is determined by academic level and experience. To begin a career with Defence Construction Canada (DCC), you must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. A minimum reliability security status clearance is required; some roles may require secret clearance. Security clearance requirements generally involve: Criminal record checks. Reference checks. Open source checks.
