HOURS: Full-time (37.5 hours/week) DURATION: Temporary – One year contract starting January/February 2026 LOCATION: Hybrid work environment (Ottawa or Toronto Office) SALARY: $101,013 per annum TRAVEL: Occasional travel required EXISTING VACANCY: Yes DEADLINE: Applications are accepted until 5pm ET January 11, 2026 Summary Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations, the Manager of Finance and Facilities is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial record keeping and reporting and analysis including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and the probity of the donor database. In addition, this role will be responsible for overseeing general building and property maintenance including duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems. What You’ll Do Assist with preparation of the monthly and year-end financial statements for internal and external use and for required reporting to the International Secretariat (IS) Prepare and submit filings to the CRA and other relevant bodies ensuring compliance with regulatory and funding requirements Lead the annual budgeting and external audit processes and develop and maintain a strong system of internal financial controls. Develop models, forecasts, dashboards, and other analytical tools to improve planning and decision-making approaches in the organization Supervise general accounting duties including A/P, A/R, Payroll, and G/L analysis ensuring that financial records and systems are maintained in accordance with appropriate accounting principles. Manage and oversee the facilities operations and infrastructure of all AICSES sites including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management. Build, manage and nurture a highly effective Finance and Facilities Management team to maximize the organization's performance, cohesion, and improvement and human rights impact. What We’re Looking For In a Candidate The successful candidate will have a deep and abiding commitment to tackling systemic issues affecting historically marginalized employees and communities with a specific lens of anti‑racism, feminism, intersectionality, and accessibility to external and internal work. Education MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced University education in Accounting or Finance, and a professional accounting designation e.g. CPA, ACCA, CA. Experience 5-7 years of job-related experience preferentially in the non-profit industry Reporting and analysis Budgeting and forecasting Managing multi-site facilities operations Leading cross-functional teams Knowledge/Skills Remain up to date with changes in sector specific accounting and CRA rules and changes in health and safety requirements Ongoing professional education in line with requirements of a CPA/professional designation Ongoing professional development to ensure facilities management skills are up to date to manage responsibility for the full range of facilities, property management, safety, security functions; construction and administration activities. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or similar qualification such as an FMP (Facilities Management Professional) would be an asset.
