SENIOR STRATEGIC HEALTHCARE PARTNER – PFIZER CANADA

We are looking for a key talent to join the National Strategic Healthcare Partner Team in the position of Senior Strategic Healthcare Partner in Toronto, ON. The Strategic Healthcare Partner (SHP) is one of Pfizer’s Healthcare Solution Subject Matter Expert (SME) non-demand generating family of roles that is part of the commercial customer facing organization reporting into the SHP Lead in the Commercial Innovation Organization If you are interested in collaborative initiatives intended to improve the patient journey and optimize the standard of care for Canadian Patients, this is the role for you. Therapeutic areas you will support include Oncology, CV disease, Iron Deficiency Anemia, as well as others where Pfizer Canada has Medications or Vaccines.

This role is critical to Pfizer Canada as you will be responsible for working with key stakeholders and strategic accounts to identify care gaps and ways to address them taking a systematic and collaborative approach to enhance patient care and outcomes. Through the SHP role, which is intended to be a trusted advisor to strategic accounts, you will aspire to gain a greater understanding of these strategic accounts and the unmet healthcare needs of the patients they serve in areas of joint interest.

SHPs can collaborate on initiatives that will meet the prioritized therapeutic area needs of the patients and healthcare providers served by the institutions / systems of care through discussions, partnerships, co-creation, and quality improvement initiatives. The SHP mindset is driven by customer-centricity, collaboration, and understanding of the healthcare environment.

Identified Strategic accounts can include:

  • Key healthcare institutions / systems of care including hospitals or specific departments/wards within hospitals (which may involve one or several HCPs providing patient care)
  • Health networks or specialized care centers
  • Multi-disciplinary community care teams or key clinics
  • Key stakeholders (Healthcare Professionals or administrative) involved in initiatives related to healthcare delivery and quality improvement.

THE SHP CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES CAN INCLUDE:

  • Act as the primary point of contact with the senior stakeholders and thought leaders within a strategic account and lead the long-term, consultative, senior executive strategic account relationship to become a trusted advisor.
  • Take a mid/long-term view of Pfizer’s business, aligning across the organization to prioritize needs.
  • Assess, deeply understand, and map the strategic account needs, challenges and priorities and gaps in patient care to optimize the patient journey and experience.
  • Lead the development of a strategic and holistic plan for key accounts and co-create innovative solutions to meet the healthcare priorities supporting a legitimate unmet patient and/or healthcare need.
  • The SHP must collaborate with other internal functions (Marketing, Sales, Medical, etc.) to meet the identified needs of strategic accounts.
  • Network with industry/business-related organizations and societies, and attend conferences aligned with therapeutic area priorities.
  • Support the development of standardized processes, such as referral, diagnostic and treatment protocols, as per guidelines.
  • Develop and explore digital partnerships and tools that accelerate the patient journey to improve outcomes and patient experience.
  • Demonstrate Pfizer Values and adhere to Pfizer compliance policies and procedures as well as to the Innovative Medicines Canada Code of Ethical Practice
  • Responsible for developing, tracking, and monitoring key metrics on patient flow and outcomes in key accounts.
  • To be a local expert on healthcare reform and healthcare systems to allow for optimal patient care.
  • Elevate stakeholders’ connectivity to favor learning and best practice sharing so that quality improvement and co-creation initiatives can be implemented in other areas.

WHAT WE THINK YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Relevant University Degree in Business Administration or Science
  • Demonstrated record of success with a minimum of five years of pharmaceutical experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience in Oncology is preferred.
  • High level of business acumen
  • Independent, self-starter who has proven ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent understanding of industry and healthcare market trends and dynamics
  • Ability to quickly engage with recognized thought leaders with the goal of becoming a trusted advisor.

  • Superior customer management skills and competencies
  • Highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)

Les comptes stratégiques ciblés peuvent comprendre les suivants :

  • établissements de soins de santé/systèmes de soins clés, comme des hôpitaux ou des départements/unités de soins particuliers à l’intérieur d’ un hôpita l ( qui peuvent comprendre un ou plusieurs professionnel le s et professionnels de la santé offrant des soins aux patient e s et aux patients ) ;

  • réseaux de santé ou centres de soins spécialisés;

  • équipes multidisciplinaires de soins communautaires ou cliniques clés;

  • intervenant e s et intervenants clés ( professionnel le s / professionnels ou personnel administratif du milieu de la santé ) participant à des initiatives liées à la prestation et à l’amélioration des soins de santé .

FONCTIONS ET RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES D U OU DE LA PSSS :

  • Intervenir à titre de personne-ressource principale auprès des intervenant e s et intervenants clés haut placé ⋅ e ⋅ s et des leaders d’opinion au sein d’un compte stratégique et entretenir des relations à long terme pour la consultation avec la haute direction des comptes stratégiques afin de devenir une conseillère ou un conseiller d’affaires digne de confiance .

  • Avoir une vision à moyen et long terme des affaires de Pfizer qui soit uniforme pour toute l’organisation afin de hiérarchiser les besoins .

  • Évaluer , comprendre en profondeur et prévoir les besoins, les difficultés et les priorités des comptes stratégiques de même que les lacunes dans les soins prodigués aux patient e s et aux patients afin d’optimiser le ur parcours et leur expérience .

  • Diriger l’élaboration d’un plan stratégique et global pour les comptes clés et la cocréation de solutions novatrices afin de répondre aux priorités en soins de santé qui soutiennent un besoin non comblé légitime des patient e s et des patients et/ou du milieu des soins de santé .

  • C ollabore r avec d’aut re s équipes fonctionnelles de Pfizer (Marketing, Ventes , Affaires médicales , etc.) en vue de répondre aux besoins des comptes stratégiques qui ont été cernés .

  • Créer des liens avec des organisations et des sociétés liées à l’industrie ou à nos activités commerciales et assister à des conférences dont les thèmes touch e nt les priorités des domaines thérapeutiques .

  • Appuyer la mise au point d e processus normalisé s , comme d es protocoles d’orientation des patientes et des patients, de diagnostic et de traitement, conformément aux lignes directrices .

  • Établir des partenariats et mettre au point et explorer des outils numériques qui accélèrent le parcours des patientes et des patients afin d’améliorer leurs résultats thérapeutiques et leur expérience .

  • Démontrer les valeurs de Pfizer et respecter les politiques et procédures en matière de conformité de Pfizer ainsi que le C ode d’éthique de Médicaments novateurs Canada.

  • Mettre au point des paramètres de mesure clés sur le parcours et les résultats thérapeutiques des patientes et des patients dans les comptes clés, puis en assurer le suivi et la surveillance .

  • Servir d’experte ou expert local ⋅ e sur la réforme de la santé et les systèmes de santé en vue de permettre la prestation de soins de santé optimaux aux patientes et aux patients .
