We review applications every day and will get back to you within a week, if not closer to 48 hours*** About Motion Motion is growing fast (3x YoY), our product is sticky and we recently raised $30M in Series B funding. We doubled our customers as well as our headcount in 2024, and have just over 50 team members. But we’re just getting started and we need your help We’ve built a new category of software to bridge the gap between performance marketers and creative teams. Our platform combines creative analytics, research, and strategy. Motion is the command center for Creative Strategists. Our customers are top ecom and DTC brands like Vuori, True Classic, The Farmer’s Dog, HexClad, and thousands more. They’ve used Motion to analyze over $13B in media spend. As an early member of our sales team, you will be looked upon to set the standard for what success looks like at Motion. Our Head of Business Development views our early hires as the future leaders of our company. About the role You will be directly responsible for driving net new and expansion revenue for our SMB segment. Leads will be 100% inbound, and you will manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact through successful close. Approach clients like future partners to be collaborated with, not leads to be closed. Yes, we want to sell more, however we’ve found that a collaborative sales process ensures long term success and we’ll support you going over and above to ensure your client needs are met. Advise prospects on how to implement an effective Performance Creative process using Motion. Using a consultative selling approach, you will help teams see how the Motion platform is the answer to the workflow challenges they are experiencing. Be prepared to explore a new approach to sales Who you are We’re looking for drivers (vs passengers) at this point in our growth. Approaches everyday with the intention of improving at your craft. Elite self reflection skills with the ability to identify where to improve + ideas around how to improve. Strong performance / presentation skills (a plus if you have public speaking or theatre experience). No ego: Ego typically blocks the path to improvement - we want to focus a ton on how to improve quickly and not be slowed down by ego. Instantly likeable and trustworthy. Extremely ambitious and unafraid of the grind. Strong critical thinking: You’re sharp and able to develop opinions on the role, team, and organization. Training and development: We have comprehensive onboarding to prepare you to be an expert in our industry and will build an individualized learning plan once you’re fully ramped. Authority and expertise: You’re going to learn to become an expert in marketing. Team - A culture of collaboration and willingness to share (we value chatting through opinions vs. top down decisions). - Autonomy to make decisions and impact output. - Transparency across the organization into decision making processes + your voice will be heard if you have any feedback. Organization - We’ve found product market fit which makes everything a bit easier. - Fully remote team with incredible offsites and retreats to build camaraderie. Our last retreat was a week-long stay at Lake Muskoka. - We’re a tech company with all the standard startup benefits: Great vacation policies, health care, modern tech, home office budget etc. - Our customers are some of the leading brands and agencies in D2C e-commerce. 2024 was a defining year here. We are starting the year with fresh funding and exceptional signals from our clients. On top of this, our founding team has built successful companies before.
