About the Position As a US Tax Specialist, you will be required to be a self-starter with the preparation and/or review of US tax assignments. You will not only utilize your technical competencies in this role, but you will also draw on your strong interpersonal skills to develop solid working relationships with your team members, as well as our clients. Summary of Responsibilities Demonstrate a thorough understanding of tax concepts and application of tax knowledge as it relates to US corporate federal and state income tax compliance Complete US corporate and partnership tax returns for clients e.g. Form 1120's, 1065's Conduct tax research at Federal and State levels with intent to analyze US cross-border tax issues Deal with US Federal and State authorities with respect to client tax notices and related matters Provide assistance to team members on tax related matters; pursue/share knowledge to develop professionally Establish positive working relationships with clients Qualifications and Requirements Undergraduate degree in a related field and minimum 3-4 years of public accounting experience in US Tax Completion of US CPA or working towards completion, preferred US state compliance knowledge Exposure to international compliance Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, US Tax Preparation Software High aptitude and willingness to take initiative Strong written and oral communication abilities, interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment Good analytical and organizational skills Ability to work with tight deadlines Benefits and Growth Opportunity for growth – gain direct experience working with a wide-range of industry groups and clients Mentorship – our teams operate with an “open door” policy Collaborative environment – everyone has a say in our success Competitive compensation + opportunity for annual bonuses Full benefits and insurance for you and your immediate family members Short Fridays all year long (3 pm office closure) Flexible in-office dress code Flexible work hours and location possible Mental health resources and ongoing mental health support Providing you with opportunities to give back and support your community Diversity and Inclusion Zeifmans is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
