Junior Engineer, Structural Engineering

Join the Junior Engineer, Structural Engineering - Industrial team at BBA Consultants. Your future role on our team involves working with multidisciplinary teams on one or more projects, carrying out consulting engineering tasks such as design studies and preliminary and detailed engineering. Type of position: Regular You’ll help us prepare engineering documents to design structures for projects in the industrial, mining and metallurgy, energy, petrochemical, environmental, sustainable development and other sectors. With us, you’ll get the opportunity to: Design concrete and steel foundations and structures Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.) Prepare estimates, technical specifications and reports Help with quality control of the work of technicians and drafters Help prepare estimates, schedules and budgets, where necessary Help plan, organize and assess work Help monitor site work, as required Assist with site inspections and surveys Perform other technical functions to support project delivery Maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients or their representatives Apply the firm’s health and safety policy and take the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; become familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and apply specific job directives Do your qualities and values match our corporate culture? Strong commitment to health and safety Willingness to work together while having fun Rigorous and ethical Fascination for innovation Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec Knowledge of structural analysis software Available to travel occasionally to client sites and offices Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec.
