Junior Engineer, Structural Engineering

Junior Engineer, Structural Engineering – Industrial at BBA Consultants Join our Structural Engineering team to work on multidisciplinary projects, carrying out consulting engineering tasks such as design studies and preliminary and detailed engineering. Responsibilities Design concrete and steel foundations and structures Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.) Prepare estimates, technical specifications and reports Help with quality control of the work of technicians and drafters Help prepare estimates, schedules and budgets, where necessary Help plan, organize and assess work Help monitor site work, as required Assist with site inspections and surveys Perform other technical functions to support project delivery Maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients or their representatives Apply the firm’s health and safety policy and take the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; become familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and apply specific job directives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec Knowledge of structural analysis software Available to travel occasionally to client sites and offices Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally.
