This position includes day shifts and on-call duties with occasional early evening shifts. In addition to a competitive rate of pay and eligibility for relocation assistance, Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) currently offers a Remote Retention Allowance—up to a maximum of $3,000 annually. This non-pensionable allowance is paid hourly for all hours worked at the basic rate of pay. Description As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required. Classification: Combined Lab/X-Ray Tech I Union: HSAA FAC PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Laboratory & DI Primary Location: Wabasca/Desmarais Healthcare Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.50 Posting End Date: 26‑NOV‑2025 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 06‑DEC‑2025 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 4 Shifts per cycle: 10 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $35.45 Maximum Salary: $46.69 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT). Additional Required Qualifications As Required. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in Wabasca, along with proficiency in Vitros XT, Triage, iSTAT, ACL Elite Pro, Clinitek, and Sysmex analyzers, is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
