Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) offers competitive pay with an additional Remote Retention Allowance—up to a maximum of $3,000 annually. This non‑pensionable allowance is paid hourly for all hours worked at the basic rate of pay. Description As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist II, you will direct and supervise the day‑to‑day operation of department staff and services in their area. You will be responsible for the coordination, organization and operation of the site Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging departments. You will also be responsible to perform site specific manual and automated laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging exams, cardiology procedures and related duties following established standards and practice defined by the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and Health Professions Act. Classification: Combined Lab/X-Ray Tech II Union: HSAA FAC PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Laboratory & DI Primary Location: Wabasca/Desmarais Healthcare Location Details: As Per Location Multi‑Site: Not Applicable FTE: 1.00 Posting End Date: 26‑NOV‑2025 Temporary Employee Class: Temp F/T Benefits Date Available: 16‑DEC‑2025 Temporary End Date: 31‑JAN‑2027 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 4 Shifts per cycle: 20 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $38.39 Maximum Salary: $49.34 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT). Additional Required Qualifications As required. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in Wabasca, along with proficiency with Vitros XT, Sysmex1000, Triage, iSTAT, Elite Pro and Clinitek analyzers, Reagent Ordering, QC month end, CAP responses & scheduling. #J-18808-Ljbffr
