Overview Join to apply for the Commercial Account Executive (Trade Credit) - Hybrid role at Cowan Insurance Group . Cowan Insurance Group is looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join our Trade Credit Insurance Team. The Commercial Account Executive will be responsible for growth of Trade Credit new business sales and will be a key contributor to Cowan’s growth strategy in Trade Credit and its sales culture. You will provide exceptional insurance advice to clients, identify and define insurance needs, work effectively with our markets and our commercial team, and cultivate relationships with prospective clients. This is a sales-driven role focused on Trade Credit and Commercial Insurance. What You Will Do Covering Southern Ontario and/or Metro Montreal regions, increase a pipeline of new customer prospects and opportunities Proactively source new business leads to increase the team’s new customer pipeline and progressively manage new customers within Ottawa and Montreal regions, adding capacity to our present team of Account Executives active in Ontario and Quebec Develop and build relationships with new and existing clients as well as internal and external referral sources and centers-of-influence Identify clients’ insurance needs and gaps in current coverages. Respond to questions and concerns with urgency Present annual renewals to clients, evaluate the effectiveness of current policies, and make appropriate recommendations Coordinate service delivery within the organization to ensure exceptional client satisfaction Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and exceptional service delivery through education on products, processes, and services and clear communication Work with all Cowan teams to contribute toward the overall commercial strategy What You Will Bring Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Insurance and/or Trade Credit sales RIBO license is required Quebec license (RCCAQ/AMF) is required or ability to obtain within 12 months Fluency in English and French is required, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages Self-motivated, customer-focused professional with a passion for sales Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues Effective communication to foster trust and collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders Strong ability to collaborate with an existing high-performing team Analytical skills to build and expand a profitable insurance portfolio Ability to network actively and participate in community and industry events Alignment with the Company values of Integrity, Respect, Client Focused, Collaboration and Accountability CAIB or CIP designation (or working toward designation) would be an asset Who We Are Proudly independent and Canadian-owned, Cowan Insurance Group has been a market leader in the insurance industry since 1927.
