About the Role

Designing Audio-Visual and Technology systems includes the development and delivery of reports, presentations, drawing packages, and detailed specifications. VWMason's CAD Technologist & Production Coordinator will support the design of audio-visual and technology systems for new construction and renovation projects. This full-time intermediate salary position reports to the managing partner and will work collaboratively with the principals, consultants, and other technologists.


ResponsibilitiesDesign Responsibilities

·      Participate in client and stakeholder consultations

·      Contribute to design team consultations and meetings

·      Architectural and electrical coordination

·      Interdisciplinary document reviews

Production Responsibilities

·      AutoCAD and Revit Drafting of audio-visual and technology systems

·      Development of AutoCAD and Revit template

·      BIM Coordination and management

·      Document and file management

·      Development and implementation of production management tools

·      Support Managing Partner with scheduling and prioritization

·      Coordinate document production, packaging, and delivery

Construction Responsibilities

·      Procurement documentation and support

·      Submittal review and analysis

·      Contract Admin review and documentation

·      Report writing


Qualifications

·      2-year Diploma in Architectural or Engineering Technology and 5 years of related work experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Or – 8 years related work experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit.

·      Experience with architectural or engineering document production

·      Experience administrating document coordination and delivery

·      Experience with Word, Excel, Microsoft 365, and Windows software

·      Aptitude for design, drafting, and administration

·      Interest in audio-visual and other technology
