As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at SalonScale, you will be at the forefront of our company’s growth. Your primary responsibility is to generate new business opportunities by qualifying leads and booking demos for our sales team. By connecting with potential customers, assessing their needs, and ensuring they are ready for a demonstration of SalonScale’s products, you will play a critical role in driving our growth. Additionally, your insights will directly impact our marketing and product strategies by providing valuable feedback on lead quality and common objections.
- Lead Qualification: Reach out to new and past leads to assess their needs, qualify them as potential customers, and ensure they align with SalonScale’s offerings.
- Demo Completed: Your primary KPI is the number of completed demos. You are responsible for ensuring the sales team has a steady pipeline of qualified leads ready for demonstrations.
- Communication: Engage with leads via phone calls, emails, sms, and social media, generating interest and scheduling demos.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the AR/ sales team for seamless handoff of qualified leads, ensuring they are well prepared for closure.
- Pipeline Management: Utilize PipeDrive to maintain and update the CRM, tracking interactions, leads, and demo bookings.
- Feedback Loop: Provide detailed information to Sales Manager about the quality of leads, what’s working in the qualification process, and any barriers that prevent leads from progressing. This information will help shape marketing messaging and product development.
- Objection Handling: Document common objections and how they were handled. Share this information with Sales Manager to help improve our approach and inform product and marketing teams about potential areas for improvement
- Experience: Proven experience as an SDR or in a similar role with a strong track record of booking demos and qualifying leads.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, persuade, and build rapport with potential customers.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., PipeDrive) and communication tools (e.g., Slack).
- Results-Oriented: Motivated by targets and driven to exceed your KPI of booked demos.
- Sales Mindset: Ability to quickly understand customer needs and align them with SalonScale’s offerings.
- Morning: Start by checking Slack and email for any urgent communications. Review your CRM to prioritize your lead outreach.
- Lead Outreach: Actively reach out to new and existing leads via phone, email, sms,and social media, focusing on securing demo bookings.
- Demo Scheduling: Qualify leads, match their needs with SalonScale’s offerings, and book demos for the sales team.
- Follow-Up: Reconnect with leads who have shown interest but haven’t yet booked a demo.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the sales and customer success teams to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads.
- Collaboration: Feedback & Documentation: Record objections and how they were handled, and provide insights to Sales Manager to inform marketing and product teams.
- Leading activity metrics like calls, leads engaged, and demo’s booked.
- Number of demos completed.
- Conversion rate from lead to demo completed.
- Quality of leads handed off to sales team.
- Sales & Success Manager: Your direct upline, responsible for overall oversight of sales and customer success efforts, ensuring alignment with broader company goals. You will provide them with insights on lead quality, objections, and overall performance.
- AE/Sales Team: Collaborate closely to maintain a steady flow of qualified demos.
- Customer Success Team: Ensure smooth onboarding of new customers post-demo.
- Partnerships Team: You will work closely with the Partnerships Team to qualify all leads generated through our partnership channels. This includes leads from events or channel partners. Your role will involve following up with these leads and guiding them through the qualification process if they haven't yet progressed to a demo.
- Marketing & Product Teams: Indirectly, by providing Sales Manager with detailed information about lead qualifications, objections, and areas for messaging or product improvement.
- PipeDrive: For managing and tracking leads, ensuring all interactions are logged and followed up.
- Slack: For internal communication and team collaboration.
- Google Drive: For accessing and sharing company resources and documentation.
- Notion: for task management and organizing sales activities
- Zoom: for conducting discovery calls
