The Opportunity:
ML6 is collaborating with a top-tier contract development and manufacturing organization to identify an IT Support Technician for their expanding team. In this role, you'll be pivotal in providing comprehensive IT assistance across departments, ensuring the seamless functionality of both end-user computing and laboratory systems. You'll manage service requests, collaborate with IT teams, and maintain hardware, software, and system documentation. You'll also play a critical role in audits, testing, and ensuring IT-related compliance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver IT support to all departments, covering applications, hardware, and office/laboratory systems.
- Ensure all IT services, from user computing to lab environments, receive uninterrupted support.
- Work closely with internal IT teams and external partners to drive IT initiatives.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the parent company's IT team and ensure proper communication of corporate policies.
- Oversee the management and documentation of service tickets from start to resolution.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support office hardware, desktops, and printing systems.
- Draft and update system preventative maintenance protocols and operating procedures.
- Assist with instrument computer applications and provide metrology support.
- Contribute to both internal and external audits by delivering accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Assist with testing applications, deploying computers, and maintaining IT asset records.
- Ensure new hires have fully validated profiles before their start dates and assist with IT orientation.
- Manage the corporate mobile plan and provide configuration and support for mobile devices.
- Maintain compliance with GMP guidelines, company policies, and safety regulations.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful:
- A College or University degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant IT experience.
- Proficient in technical writing, particularly for software documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Waters Empower and Agilent MassHunter is a plus.
- Previous exposure to a GMP or lab environment is beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to support multiple local sites (daily vehicle access is required).
