Why this role matters: We’re looking for a curious, rigorous, problem‑driven Senior Product Marketing Manager to build and own all B2B product marketing at Function. You will create the foundation of our employer‑facing PMM engine—developing clear positioning, building sales enablement, refining GTM motions, and helping influence what we build for employer buyers. What You’ll Own Positioning and messaging: Define clear, differentiated employer‑facing narratives and value props tailored to enterprise benefits and people‑team stakeholders. Sales enablement and content: Deliver high-impact collateral (decks, one‑pagers, whitepapers, ROI stories, battlecards) that accelerate deal velocity and improve win rates. GTM and launches: Lead GTM for all employer‑facing features and updates, aligning with product, sales, enterprise, and benefits‑season buying cycles. Competitive intelligence: Maintain insights on the employer benefits landscape to guide product priorities and strengthen differentiation. Population health: Ensure the broader healthcare ecosystem understands the impact Function has beyond the individual level and the value Function can deliver in the broader healthcare ecosystem. Cross‑functional influence: Translate employer and benefits‑leader insights into product decisions and partner tightly with Enterprise, Sales, Ops, Product, and the broader organization. Business experiments and funnel optimization: Partner with product and GTM teams to test and iterate on messaging, offer packaging, and product experiences that improve lead conversion, member activation, and utilization. Prioritize experiments that unlock new acquisition or conversion inflection points. Where you’ll collaborate Pricing and packaging: Support employer‑tier pricing and healthcare packaging strategy. Market research: Contribute to insights work with HR/benefits leaders and employer buyers. Demand gen support: Provide employer‑focused messaging and POV frameworks for integrated marketing programs that support employer awareness and pipeline creation. Member Activation Support: Partner with sale and post‑sale teams to support launch toolkits, employer communication frameworks, and ongoing engagement messaging. Margin enhancement: Partner with sales, finance and growth to build product positioning for premium offerings. What You’ll Bring 5+ years in Product Marketing with strong B2B experience (healthcare, or wellbeing experience strongly preferred). Proven ability to build positioning, messaging, and sales enablement from 0→1. Experience tailoring messaging for key decision‑makers and influencers within employer organizations. Comfortable operating within long, complex enterprise buying cycles tied to benefits planning and open enrollment. Strong storyteller able to articulate ROI, population health impact, productivity gains, and employee activation value. Effective cross‑functional partner who thrives in a fast‑paced, ambiguous, startup environment. Success Looks Like Clear, consistent employer‑facing positioning adopted across Product, Sales, Enterprise, and Ops teams. Sales enablement that drives faster deal cycles, higher win rates, and better pipeline conversion. Predictable, well‑run GTM motions aligned to employer buying cycles. Competitive insights helping shape product strategy and B2B differentiation. Messaging, collateral, and product‑facing experiments that materially increase B2B MQLs, pipeline conversion, and employee member activations—supported by a clear hypothesis and learnings loop.
