SAP IS-U FICA (S/4HANA Utilities) Consultant We are seeking a highly experienced SAP IS-U FICA Consultant with deep expertise in S/4HANA Utilities to lead and support greenfield implementation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and functional knowledge of FICA processes , hands‑on configuration experience, and a solid understanding of the utilities sector . Prior client‑facing experience and the ability to work in complex, fast‑paced environments are essential. Key Responsibilities Lead and support SAP IS-U FICA S/4HANA Greenfield Implementations end‑to‑end. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into clear functional specifications. Design and configure FICA processes including Dunning (BRF+), Installment Plans, Payments, Security Deposits, Write‑offs, and Postings . Manage GL integration, reconciliation keys, tax setup, main/sub transactions , and clearing control processes. Oversee and validate data migration for FICA objects such as open items, balances, installment plans, and reconciliations. Work closely with cross‑functional teams including Billing, Device Management, CX, FICO, and external bank integrations. Analyze and resolve complex billing and invoicing issues . Prepare functional designs for WRICEF objects , and coordinate with ABAP, integration, testing, and data migration teams . Develop and deliver process documentation, test scenarios, and end‑user training materials. Support UAT execution , pre‑sales activities, and proposal development for RFPs/RFIs. Contribute to practice growth through knowledge sharing and development of reusable assets. Stay current with emerging trends in Utilities, AMI, and S/4HANA innovations . Required Experience & Skills 10+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP IS-U FICA with full lifecycle implementation exposure (planning, blueprinting, realization, migration, testing, go‑live). Strong understanding of utility industry processes and regulatory frameworks (Canadian Utilities market experience preferred). Proven expertise in key FICA functional areas such as Dunning, Security Deposits, Payments, Installments, and Write‑offs. Proficiency in FICA data migration and key FQEVENTS/workflow configuration . Integration experience with IS-U Billing, Device Management, CX, FICO , and external systems. Excellent communication, analytical, and client‑interfacing skills. Basic ABAP debugging skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams. Experience with meter‑to‑cash processes and SAP Service Cloud / SEW / CRM front‑end applications . Preferred Qualifications SAP/industry certifications in SAP IS-U, Finance, or S/4HANA Utilities (advantageous, not mandatory). Experience in DevOps, automation , or data quality frameworks within SAP environments. CFA or other finance‑related certifications are a plus.
