Lecturer / Assistant Professor - Emergency & Trauma Radiologist Location: Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, St. George Campus (Downtown Toronto). Overview The Department of Medical Imaging at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (SHSC) in partnership with the University of Toronto is hiring two full‑time radiologists for the Emergency & Trauma Radiology Division (ETRD). The role involves acute care imaging interpretation, overnight on‑call coverage, and teaching across multiple academic programs. Responsibilities Interpret all acute care imaging studies, including 24/7 coverage from the six‑station reading room embedded within the Emergency Department. Provide subspecialty expertise in Emergency and Trauma Imaging for both ED patients and those admitted to specialty programs such as the Tory Trauma Program, Odette Cancer Program, Schulich Heart Program, and Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program. Participate in a mix of acute care and outpatient imaging studies across other divisions during daytime hours. Act as a clinician‑teacher in Undergraduate Medical Education, Continuing Medical Education, Residency, and Fellowship Programs. Engage in active scholarly and clinical leadership within the department and university. Qualifications Eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Fellowship in Diagnostic Imaging from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or an international equivalent. Eligibility for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Minimum one year of dedicated fellowship training in Emergency and Trauma Radiology post‑residency. Experience performing subspecialty work in Emergency and Trauma Imaging and interpreting a broad spectrum of acute conditions. A strong commitment to teaching, research, and leadership. Compensation Salary is fee‑for‑service based and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The estimated income range is $300,000–$500,000 per annum for a full‑time equivalent, with potential for increase based on academic credentials.
