Overview Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role at Open Farm Pet. This role will drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making across the organization. What you will do Strategic Planning & Analysis Support the development and execution of the long-term strategic plan, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and identifying growth opportunities. Conduct in-depth research on industry trends and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making. Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives, assess risks and returns, and support resource allocation. Financial Planning, Forecasting and Reporting Develop and manage the annual budget and rolling forecasts, coordinating with departments to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Identify and track KPIs to measure performance and drive accountability. Analyze actual results against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and actionable insights. Prepare and present insightful financial reports to management and investors. Business Partnering Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on strategic and financial issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial impact of initiatives, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for cost optimization, growth, or process improvement. Communicate financial results, insights, and recommendations to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, reporting, and data accuracy. Leverage technology to automate and enhance financial reporting and analysis. Mentor junior team members and build scalable FP&A processes. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in a fast-paced or growth-oriented environment Professional accounting designation or MBA considered an asset Experience in the CPG industry; prior management consulting is a plus Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities — you ask what numbers mean and why they matter Exceptional attention to detail with ability to see the big picture Strong communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders Proficiency in ERP systems and financial planning software Benefits Opportunity to grow within a mission-driven, dynamic, fast-growing company Comprehensive healthcare coverage and RRSP plans with company match Great office culture with pets in the workplace Discounted food, apparel and insurance for pets PTO plus company-wide wellness days and personal days Volunteer days to give back to the community Work model At Open Farm, we support collaboration through a hybrid model.
