Role Description Preparation of Compilation engagements and financial statements for clients in a variety of industries and supporting working papers with minimal supervision Preparation of Personal, Corporate, Partnership and Trust tax returns Preparation of tax compliance and information filings including T4, T5, EHT, HST and WSIB filings Ensuring that all compilation and accounting issues are properly identified and resolved in a timely manner Understanding accounting technical standards relevant to financial reporting in Canada Directly working with clients to co-ordinate the efficient completion of engagements, request necessary information, and review accounting transactions Correspondence with CRA regarding corporate, personal, payroll, and sales tax issues Effectively communicating with the team, clients, and relevant government agencies Qualifications Strong knowledge of corporate and personal tax preparation and compliance Expertise in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Proficiency in payroll processing and HST reporting Analytical skills for conducting financial analyses and identifying process improvements Familiarity with accounting software and financial management tools Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills CPA designation or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience Experience working with clients in the healthcare or professional services sectors is an asset Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Accounting / Auditing and Finance Industries Accounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
