Base pay range CA$80,000.00/yr - CA$100,000.00/yr Staff Accountant – Public Accounting Firm Full-Time | Permanent $80,000–$100,000 per year + 5-10% Bonus Our client is a well-established public accounting firm located in North York, providing a full suite of accounting, tax, assurance, and advisory services to a diverse client base. They are growing and currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join their collaborative and high‑performing team. About the Role The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing compilation, review, and audit engagement files, as well as corporate and personal tax planning and preparation. This role is ideal for someone who is driven, eager to learn, and motivated to advance their career within a supportive firm environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare Compilation, Review, and Audit engagement files Complete Corporate and Personal Tax returns and planning Assist with financial analysis and working paper files Communicate with clients regarding requests and documentation Ensure accuracy and compliance with ASPE and relevant tax standards Work collaboratively with team members and management Utilize software including CaseWare, TaxPrep, QuickBooks, and related tools Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA 5+ years experience working in a CPA public accounting firm (required) Strong understanding of assurance and tax engagement processesExcellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills What Our Client Offers Competitive salary: $60,000–$100,000 annually, based on experience plus bonus Hybrid schedule – mix of office and remote work Comprehensive benefits (extended health, dental, vision, paid time off) Professional development and advancement opportunities Supportive, growth‑focused environment Work Schedule Monday to Friday Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote AODA & Accessibility Commitment Our client is committed to providing an inclusive, accessible work environment that supports the diverse needs of all applicants and employees.
