Canada Unbound Merino Full time

Building the World’s First AI Security Guards Unbound Merino is a Toronto-based clothing brand founded by three lifelong friends passionate about travel. The company creates versatile, high-performance Merino wool apparel designed specifically for travelers and minimalists. Our garments prioritize simplicity, style, and durability, made from sustainably sourced merino wool. We focus on crafting timeless, functional pieces that are wrinkle-resistant, odor-resistant, moisture‑wicking, and suitable for a variety of climates and occasions. Our mission is to help customers pack and own less, allowing them to focus on meaningful experiences rather than bulky luggage or fast fashion trends. Role Description As Production Manager, you own the end‑to‑end production cycle—ensuring every product is delivered on time, on budget, at quality, and with complete operational transparency. You are a strategic, results‑oriented leader who serves as the critical link between Buying, Technical Design, Marketing, Supply Chain, and global supplier partners. With deep technical knowledge and relentless process discipline, you prioritize high‑leverage initiatives to protect launch calendars and drive efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage comprehensive seasonal production schedules covering material delivery, cutting, sewing, finishing, testing, inspections, and final delivery. Review line sheets and buy plans; recommend adjustments based on MOQ, lead time, margin, and production efficiency. Maintain and manage the Merch Tracker—ensuring T&A milestones are accurate, communicated, and met across all departments. Lead weekly WIP/supplier status meetings to ensure progress, resolve bottlenecks, and keep timelines on track. Provide weekly and bi‑weekly production updates to stakeholders, including ETAs and risk alerts. Proactively identify production bottlenecks, shipment risks, fabric/trim shortages, testing failures, and quality issues; develop mitigation plans. Implement and monitor quality control protocols across suppliers and factories; arrange fabric/garment testing and review Final Random Inspections. Build and maintain the annual product development and production calendar; conduct monthly cross‑functional check‑ins. Manage photoshoot sample tracker, shipments, and provide Marketing with real‑time product/fit/colorway details. Review and validate production, testing, and shipping invoices; reconcile discrepancies and support cost‑improvement initiatives. Maintain supplier database and ensure compliance with North American labeling, safety, chemical regulations, and Woolmark Certification. Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements, including AI/tools to drive operational efficiency and SOP clarity. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in apparel production, sourcing, merchandising, or supply chain. Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, manufacturing processes, fabrics, and QC/testing standards. Excellent ability to read production data, assess risks, and interpret lab tests and inspection reports. Experience working with ERP/PLM systems (e.g., Fulfil) and strong proficiency in spreadsheets. Exceptional project management, organization, and prioritization skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills, including cross‑functional alignment. Experience working with international factories and suppliers preferred.
