Position Summary
Oversee the running of the Parts Department to ensure customer satisfaction for both direct customers and Technicians.
Specific Accountabilities
- Inventory management of all parts ensuring appropriate minimum and maximum levels
- Maintain service van inventory levels
- Manage dead stock levels and return to vendors
- Complete all parts warranty claims to various vendors
- Determines proper stock levels for branch based on Toyota JIT standards
- Obtains needed parts from local suppliers at lowest possible cost
- Identify required part(s) needed by customer and process the order
- Review Trin Docs for quotes to be prepared, parts to be billed out and parts to be replenished in truck stock
- Issues substitute parts as required, based on knowledge of interchangeability
- Review the parts on service work orders to ensure accuracy of customer billings
- Assist with the preparation of quotes for both the service department and CSS representatives as it relates to parts items
- Approval of parts account payable inputs to ensure we pay quoted prices for our purchases and any credit owed
The Senior Parts Associate mainly works in an office setting, with periods of extended sitting. Physical demands: Ability to lift 40 lbs – load/unload boxes and pack up parts.
Education & Work Experience
High school completion or equivalent education proficiency and 5 – 8 years’ experience in a Parts department, purchasing or inventory management role. General knowledge of standard material handling parts and accessories is an asset.

Sommaire du poste
Veiller à la gestion du service des pièces en ce qui concerne le remplacement de pièces détachées pour divers équipements de manutention pour des clients directs et des techniciens.
Responsabilités spécifiques
- Répondre aux appels entrants pour des commandes de pièces ou des requêtes et aider les clients au comptoir des pièces détachées
- Maintenir des niveaux de stocks exacts
- Assurer le maintien des stocks des fourgonnettes de service
- Déterminer les pièces requises par le client et traiter la commande
- Obtenir les pièces requises auprès de fournisseurs locaux au meilleur coût possible
- Aider à la vérification du système de recherche documentaire (SRD) pour la préparation des soumissions, la facturation des pièces et l’approvisionnement des pièces dans les stocks des camions
- Distribuer des pièces de substitution selon les besoins et selon une connaissance de l’interchangeabilité des pièces
- Commander, inspecter et entreposer des pièces pour divers équipements de manutention
- Déterminer les niveaux de stocks appropriés pour la succursale selon les standards JIT de Toyota
- Gérer les niveaux de stocks bas et les retours aux fournisseurs
- Distribuer des pièces requises par les techniciens
- Expédier les commandes de pièces aux clients
- Vérifier les pièces inscrites sur les bons de travail de service pour assurer l'exactitude des factures des clients
- Aider les représentants commerciaux du service après-vente et du service à la clientèle à préparer les soumissions se rapportant aux pièces détachées
- Approuver les opérations des comptes fournisseurs de pièces afin d’assurer le bon paiement des prix cotés pour nos achats et de tout solde dû.
La commise principale ou le commis principal aux pièces travaille principalement dans un bureau, nécessitant des périodes prolongées en position assise. Les exigences physiques incluent la capacité de soulever 25 lb, de charger et de décharger des boîtes et d’emballer des pièces pour les expédier
Scolarité et expérience professionnelle
Diplôme d’études secondaires ou formation équivalente et 5-8 ans d’expérience de travail dans un poste au service de pièces, des achats ou de gestion de stocks. Une connaissance générale des pièces et des accessoires standards d’équipement de manutention est un atout.
