As Corporate Controller you will oversee accounting/reporting activities, act as the Director of Finance’s “right hand” and play a key role in strategic initiatives. This role requires a designated CPA. an established Manager/Supervisor, with a strong understanding of ASPE accounting standards, corporate accounting and Controllership activities.


Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of period end reporting and financial statements under ASPE

• Oversee an efficient month end close process for multiple entities/operating companies

• Review AR, AP and payroll processes

• Manager, coach and supervise a team of finance professionals locally and indirectly at site locations

• Review of vendor agreements including involvement in pricing and negotiation

• Finance point person on system transition

• Manage relationships with banks, CRA and relevant government agencies

• Identify and implement new ways to improve quality and efficiency of financial processes

• Execute ad hoc initiatives/special projects required by the CFO & Managing Director


The Company is offering a competitive compensation package including an attractive base salary and annual performance bonus with strong upside potential. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.


Qualifications:

• CPA designation is required, candidates that qualified at a major public accounting firm preferred

• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance

• 2+ years directly supervising, coaching and developing staff

• Effective communicator and collaborator, capable of building strong relationships across departments.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.

• Detailed-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

• Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
