This role is crucial in ensuring the successful integration, installation, and ongoing maintenance of HMI/PLC systems, packaging machinery, and related equipment for their clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial automation, systems integration, troubleshooting, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, solution-oriented environment. Daily Responsibilities May Include but Are Not Limited To: Lead and participate in the installation, configuration, and integration of custom automation systems and packaging equipment, ensuring seamless operation with existing customer infrastructure. Diagnose and resolve issues with automation systems, hardware, and software, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and other industrial devices. Work closely with clients to assess their needs and ensure the systems are tailored to their specific requirements. Provide support during the commissioning phase and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, installation guides, and user manuals. Prepare reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions for internal and client use. Train client teams on the proper operation and maintenance of integrated systems. Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to ensure long-term success and reliability of the systems. Mandatory Requirements: 2+ years of experience in systems integration, industrial automation, or related fields. Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related discipline. Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, sensors, and industrial automation technologies. Strong understanding of networking, communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP), and system integration practices. Proficient with troubleshooting and diagnostic tools for automation systems. Familiarity with packaging equipment and machinery is a strong asset. Canadian Passport is required; willingness to travel to client sites up to 30% Salary Range: 70k to 80k + paid OT, benefits, RRSP.
