Typical duties can include, but are not limited to: Processing payroll, and reconciling accounts, auditing, and paying bills related to payroll Providing support to the Payroll and HR teams, including assisting with benefits administration Ensuring all salaries/wages are paid accurately (depending on each provincial legislation policy) Verifying bi-weekly time sheets and entering information into the payroll program Maintaining, tracking, and providing reports on all vacation, attendance, pensions, sick leave, and statutory holidays Other duties as assigned Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Canadian Payroll is required Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate considered an asset Knowledge of various payroll software/platforms Skills: Professional and positive personality Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal High attention to detail and organization Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion Adaptable, flexible, and able to function effectively autonomously as well as in a team environment Ability to work well under pressure / fast-paced work environments Base Salary: $ + per hour depending on assignment Temporary employees are payrolled weekly via direct deposit. Work Hours: Work hours will vary depending on the assignment details and employers’ needs. This information will be confirmed at the time of your interview or offering of assignment(s). Day shifts Monday – Friday Up to 40 hours per week • Part time opportunities available – 1-3 days per week Additional Notes: This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required. All applicants must be authorized to work in Canada to be considered for employment.
