Position Overview
We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to support the Payroll Department in the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. This role involves assisting in payroll data entry, maintaining payroll records, processing timesheets, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
**Salary**: $50,000 - $55,000 yearly
**Shifts**: Full-time, Permanent
**Location**: Calgary
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Payroll Administration
- Assist in preparation of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls
- Timecard reviews and adjustments
- Ensure all pay-related information is accurately entered into the payroll system (e.g., hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, etc.)
- Issue ROE’s
- Generate and submit payroll-related reports (e.g., wage summaries, employee earnings, etc.)
- Act as payroll back up
- Perform other duties as assigned.

2. Employee Records Management
- Entering new hires, terminations
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including pay rates, job classifications, and benefits information
- Coordinate with managers to resolve discrepancies in timekeeping and attendance records

3. Benefits Administration
- Coordinate with the HR department to ensure the accurate enrollment of employees in company benefits programs
- Process and track benefit deductions, and ensure proper contributions are made on behalf of employees

**Requirements**:

- 1- 3 years of payroll administration experience is preferred
- Experience with payroll software (Ceridian - DayForce is preferred but not essential)
- An understanding of payroll systems and tax regulations.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
