Communications and Marketing Manager Fuel Solutions Position Summary In conjunction with the VP of Communications and Marketing, the Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the day‑to‑day operations of the department, including the development, planning, and execution of various marketing programs and advertising initiatives to support the organization's growth goals. The Marketing Manager interprets business objectives and develops successful marketing campaigns from idea to execution. They also ensure the organization's message is clearly defined and distributed across all channels and targeted audiences. This position requires a hands‑on marketing professional with a strong understanding of multiple brand strategy, design, analytics, and creative execution. The ideal candidate brings both strategic thinking and creative ability, someone comfortable developing concepts, designing materials, managing campaigns, and analyzing results. Agency experience and Credit Union industry experience are a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages the objectives and efforts of the marketing department to align with the organization's goals. Drive the organization's brand strategy, including assistance with possibly redefining and reimagining its current brand strategy to ensure that it is properly aligned with its strategic plan. Administer the organization's digital marketing initiatives, including social media channels, internal websites, and email campaigns, to ensure brand consistency. Work with the VP to develop and manage the departmental budget. Create copy, source copy, and/or edit copy from other areas of the organization for marketing pieces, articles, and communications. Manage marketing distribution channels, including website, email, social media, and print. Design print ads, flyers, emails, and websites. Maximize website performance, track keyword rankings, and implement SEO strategies. Utilize marketing and communication platforms such as Mailchimp, Stripo, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Analytics to reach goals and evaluate performance. Set and achieve strategic goals for social media metrics, advertising, and marketing campaign initiatives. Serve as a brand steward–maintaining visual and messaging standards across all communication platforms. Provide direction and hands‑on design support for both internal and external marketing needs, collaborating with teams and outside vendors as needed. Collect, interpret, and report marketing analytics, providing insights and recommendations that inform strategy and demonstrate ROI. Build professional presentations and reports for internal teams, leadership, and board‑level communications. Manage external agencies to supply marketing and web services. Support teams in strategic initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Department Supervision Develop an evaluation system for the department and monitor improvement initiatives generated by evaluations. Oversee the department's daily workflow. Train, develop, and evaluate department staff in a manner necessary to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Provide leadership, communication, and coaching to cultivate a motivated environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self‑confidence, and business ownership. Other Keep abreast of emerging trends in marketing and communications to inform the growth and evolution of the organization's programs and offerings. Skills Requirements Expert knowledge of promotion branding techniques, and marketing channels Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Canva, Mailchimp, and SEO Expert experience with Google Analytics Expert in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Self‑Starter and quick to learn new software programs and technology Exceptional knowledge of current marketing techniques and platforms Excellent analytical leadership, and communication skills Photography experience and proficiency with editing software is a plus. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field. 3 to 5+ years of proven experience in a marketing manager or similar role.
