Being a Business Development Manager means creating strong business relationships with dealers in the Automotive industry. We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Consumer Financing Services Ontario Sales Team, based in Greater Toronto Area (GTA) - West. You will develop and implement action plans and business development strategies to enhance our National Bank brand in the market, help grow our loan portfolio and increase our market share. Responsibilities Identify emerging business opportunities in the market and make recommendations regarding those opportunities. Execute a business plan and be nimble in adapting your plan to changing market conditions and realities in your territory. Establish and maintain effective communication with dealers and various internal parties across all related business lines. Establish a preferred relationship with clients and ensure client satisfaction by providing personalized service. Increase the visibility of the Bank's products and services by taking part in various external activities, industry shows and related events where required. This position requires traveling 80% of the time within your assigned region. A car and a valid driver's license are required, along with the ability to maintain a home office. Business travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with bank policy. As part of the Merchant Relations sector, you will be joining a team of 13 colleagues and will report to the Senior Manager, Merchant Relations. Qualifications Completed Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years’ relevant experience, or completed Master’s degree in a related field and three years’ relevant experience. Ready to travel within the designated territory. Experience and demonstrated success in B2B business development. Experience in account management, sales, and customer service.
