Account Manager, Orthopaedics (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) Smith+Nebhew is a leading medical technology company that designs and manufactures products to improve and extend patients’ lives. The Associate Account Manager (Orthopaedics) will act as a product consultant in the Surgical product portfolio, specializing in Hip and Knee Arthroscopy, Trauma, and Robotics. Responsibilities Deliver orthopedics sales targets in cooperation with other sales teams. Develop an effective territory/account sales strategy and present it to management for approval. Maintain market and account analysis models; produce accurate business forecasts based on market analysis. Implement therapy promotional/sales programs in conjunction with marketing communication, education, clinical and training. Build strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers to enhance the Smith+Nebhew brand. Coordinate and liaise with Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers and other business units. Set country/district/territory guidelines to leverage resources and coordinate shared services. Provide business and field input in regional initiatives and support strategic programs. Assist with execution of medical education programs as part of overall Sales & Marketing plans. Establish relationships with key opinion leaders to maintain understanding of product performance and market trends. Implement tender management strategies for orthopedics RFPs, quotations, contracts and enquiries. Attend and participate in key professional congresses and events as required. Provide procedural implant support to the clinical team as needed. Carry out on‑call coverage for orthopedics cases, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Ensure consignment and stock levels are controlled, including capital equipment and loaners. Build strong business relationships with decision makers and influencers in the purchasing process. Qualifications Understanding of community and academic hospital sales dynamics. Ability to sell in a value‑based healthcare system using CRM sales tools. Strong presentation and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Travel & On‑Call Requirements Within the designated sales territory, 2‑4 overnight stays per month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences. May require on‑call coverage for trauma cases, evenings and weekends as scheduled by the Regional Sales Manager.
