Territory Sales Manager at DePuy Synthes Orthopaedics Position Summary Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Sales Associate is a high-growth role designed for an ambitious professional looking to build a career in medical sales. You will serve as the primary clinical and technical resource in the operating room, acting as a trusted consultant to orthopaedic surgeons during hip, knee, and shoulder arthroplasty procedures. Key Responsibilities Intraoperative Clinical Support: Provide expert technical guidance during live surgical procedures, ensuring surgeons and scrub nurses have the correct instrumentation and implant components. Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with surgeons, nursing staff, and hospital administration to drive the adoption of Depuy Synthes solutions. Logistics & Inventory: Oversee the management of consignment stock and loaner equipment to ensure 100% readiness for every scheduled case. Educational Support: Facilitate "In-service" training and educational workshops for hospital staff on new surgical techniques and product launches. Territory Strategy: Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to identify growth opportunities and provide market insights. On-Call Commitment: Provide essential support for trauma and emergency orthopaedic cases, which may include evenings and weekends as required by clinical demand. Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Kinesiology, Nursing, Etc.), Business or related field. Communication: Fully bilingual (English/French) with the ability to discuss complex clinical data with surgeons and administrative staff. Aptitude: High mechanical/technical aptitude; ability to learn complex surgical workflows quickly. Physicality: Ability to transport and lift instrument trays (approx. 25–40 lbs) in a fast-paced hospital environment. Mindset: Self-motivated, highly organized, and resilient under the pressure of a surgical setting.
