Job Summary:  The National Education Director will lead our education initiatives across a diverse multi-brand portfolio. They will be responsible for developing and overseeing a team of regional education experts, ensuring that all educational programs and materials are aligned with our brands' standards, and effectively support our Sales and Marketing departments' objectives. This role requires an innovative leader who is well-versed in the latest beauty trends and has a proven track record of executing successful training programs on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive educational strategies that enhance brand knowledge, support sales growth, and reinforce marketing initiatives across all North American regions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of regional education managers and experts to deliver exceptional training programs tailored to the unique needs of each brand within the portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to assess training needs, align on product launches, promotions, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Analyze market trends to keep curricula current with industry standards, integrating innovative techniques into training for competitive advantage.
  • Design metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of educational programs in achieving sales targets, increasing brand loyalty, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging training materials including manuals, digital content, webinars, workshops, etc., ensuring they cater to various learning styles.
  • Ensure that all training activities comply with company policies as well as regulatory standards within the beauty industry.
  • Manage budgeting for the education department including T&E and allocation of resources for maximum impact.
  • Foster an inclusive culture that encourages teamwork across departments while promoting professional development among team members.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in creating and leading educational programs within the beauty industry; multi-brand experience highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams over wide geographic areas.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – with an ability to inspire others through persuasive presentations and storytelling techniques.
  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies appropriate for both in-person and virtual environments.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with Sales & Marketing teams to achieve business goals.

Travel Requirements:  Frequent travel throughout North America is required for this position. Must be able to accommodate overnight stays as needed for meetings, conferences, training sessions etc.
