Summary/Objective
The Manager of DevOps will supervise DevOps Engineer with skills in AWS, Salt and CI/CD. You will be working closely with the Development and QA teams to produce reliable and secure production infrastructures and operate multiple environments in the software development process.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities
- This role requires strong background in DevOps Tools and Practices: Proficiency in CI/CD processes and tools, particularly ArgoCB for GitOps workflows.
- Infrastructure as code (IaC): Expertise in Terraform for managing infrastructure, ensuring we’re applying the best practices in IaC.
- In depth understanding of Kubernetes, including deploying, managing and troubleshooting clusters in production environments.
- Cloud platform experience: Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure) and integrating cloud services into DevOps pipelines.
- Scripting and automation: Ability to script and automate workflows using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Metrics and Monitoring: Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana or DataDog) to track performance metrics across applications and infrastructure.
- KPI Development and Tracking: Proficiency in developing and tracking KPIs, with a focus on reliability, deployment frequency, failure recovery time and system uptime.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive for performance optimization based on KPI’s, supporting faster deployments and higher availability.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of personal management experience.
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to identify new processes and provide mentorship to DevOps Engineers.
- 7+ years of experience in technical operations, cloud infrastructure or DevOps.
- Proven track record in managing large scale projects.
