Senior Event Planning & Projects Coordinator – Conferences Position: Senior Event Planning & Projects Coordinator – Conferences Location: Downtown Toronto, Hybrid Salary: $45 to $60 per hour Job Type: 10 to 12-month contract Are you an experienced event and project professional ready to lead a high-profile, internationally recognized conference? Join a respected public-sector organization in partnership with global leaders, and take the lead on a large-scale international conference hosted in Toronto. What You’ll Do: Lead end-to-end planning and execution of a major international conference, including pre-event preparation, on-site operations, and post-event evaluation. Coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration with partners, vendors, and international attendees. Oversee vendor and contract management to ensure quality and timely delivery of services. Provide strategic advice, monitor risks and actions, and prepare reports or briefings for senior leadership. Evaluate event effectiveness and contribute to post-event debriefs and recommendations for future initiatives. What You Bring: 3–5+ years of experience leading large-scale events or conferences from concept to completion. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Event Management, Project Management, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or Event Planning certification is an asset. Strong planning, organizational, and project leadership skills. Experience with project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, MS Project, or similar). Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively across multiple levels.
