Senior Development / Design Specialist - TD Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 hours per week Line of Business: Technology Solutions Pay Range: $115,600 - $163,200 CAD Job Description We are an enterprise customer authentication platform offering customer identity management, authentication, risk assessment and post authentication workforce enablement assisted channel capabilities. As a senior member of the organization, you must thrive in a technical leadership role and naturally be a collaborative & transparent team member. You will lead/partner with a highly versatile team of software engineers, product owners and architects. You will drive the technology product group level design and articulate solution options to senior leadership. Your design specialization must emphasize proven design patterns, trade‑offs and evolutionary incremental changes that lead to a north star. We are part of the Next Evolution of Work (NEW) CIAM Product Family within Protect with the full adoption of TD Scaled Agile practice (TDSA). We are embarking on a transformation change to operate in this new operating model with a strong emphasis on product‑culture value‑driven mindset. Responsibilities & Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in technology programs Minimum of 10‑12 years of strong hands‑on developer experience with recent 2‑3 years in a leadership role driving end‑to‑end solutions Strong technology background as a full stack (Java primarily) developer with exceptional experience building large‑scale enterprise solutions Led industry‑leading COTS solution integration with home‑grown enterprise capabilities Designed and built highly resilient, fault‑tolerant and high‑throughput application ecosystems Excellent database knowledge and hands‑on experience managing large RDBMS and LDAP solutions Built REST API, microservice, container solutions Real‑world implementation experience in event streaming using Kafka Strong understanding of Azure public cloud design and implementation Led high‑performance professionals at various capacities (junior to senior designers) Engaged in professional development activities Mentored junior developers and BSA within and outside the team Hands‑on involvement when necessary Active player in PoC and solution design thinking Provided strong technical leadership Championed adoption of Public Cloud Azure Led and embraced Agile work culture Participated in all aspects of application development life‑cycle: PoC, ideation, design, build, test and ongoing operation Embraced DevOps culture including CI/CD, Jenkins, test automation Vulnerability scanning tools Log management tools like Splunk, Data Dog Continuous learning mindset to tackle each task as a challenge and share knowledge for improvement Acted with ownership culture to drive meaningful change aligned with the overall enterprise product vision Mentored entry‑level developers within and outside the team Our Company TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
