Position Overview We are seeking a talented and inspiring Beauty Expert who will advance the success of our business through exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, have a keen eye for the latest trends, a passion for luxury beauty products, and play a critical role in creating a personalized customer experience anchored in self‑care. Reporting to the Makeup Team Lead, you will be trained to build genuine connections with our valued clientele, ensuring they discover and embrace their individual beauty. Responsibilities Build trusted relationships with customers by actively listening, maintaining self‑awareness, engaging in conversation, and demonstrating genuine care and empathy in a warm and professional manner. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Offer elevated self‑care services and client experiences to our customers. Stay at the forefront of industry trends and product innovations, maintaining a deep understanding of our luxury beauty brands, their histories, ingredients, and benefits. Act as a trusted expert by sharing expertise with customers, guiding them in selecting the perfect products that align with their specific needs and desires. Provide peer coaching, serving as a go‑to professional and possessing refined skills and certifications to assume expert responsibilities within our team. Conduct thorough product consultations to understand customers’ unique needs, concerns, and goals, and inspire them to explore new products and services. Offer product samples to customers, showcasing the effectiveness and benefits of the products. Consistently achieve department goals by effectively communicating the unique value of our luxury beauty products and providing exceptional customer service. Use solid interpersonal skills to upsell and cross‑sell products, ensuring customers have a comprehensive beauty experience tailored to their preferences. Represent our luxury beauty retailer with pride and professionalism by embodying the brand’s values, authenticity, and aesthetic through personal grooming and style. Attend events hosted by brands you are an expert in to maintain up‑to‑date brand knowledge. Embrace a growth mindset by staying up‑to‑date with industry developments, attending product trainings, and participating in brand events. Share knowledge with fellow team members, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and positive work environment. Skills & Experience 3+ years of experience in retail sales, client service, and the beauty industry. High school diploma. Education in the makeup industry with relevant studies or certifications; a Makeup Artistry Diploma is preferred. Ability to demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise. Exceptional active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse customers. Self‑motivated and inspired, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic retail environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Bonus Points: In‑depth knowledge of the luxury beauty market, including emerging trends and customer preferences. Previous experience coaching or mentoring others to achieve sales and customer service targets. Being a self‑care and wellness ambassador.
